SeniorCare Volunteers of the North Shore

Ongoing help is needed at various locations and shifts.

​

Opportunity details: SeniorCare Inc., provides and coordinates services to elders and others who need assistance to enable them to live independently at home or in a setting of their choice while remaining part of their community. Volunteer opportunities exist for; Meals on Wheels Drivers and Food Pantry; Medical Appointment Drivers; Money Management and Tax aides; Care for Animals; Advocate for Older Adults; Connect and help Isolated Elders; Coaching or Teaching; Get Outdoors; Office Helpers and Assistants; Knitters and Crafters; Health and Wellness, and Community Support.

Cape Ann Holiday Kids Fund 2025

December 8 through December 17, 2025

Pathways for Children, 29 Emerson Avenue, Gloucester

Volunteers needed for morning, midday, afternoon slots

Opportunity details: The Cape Ann Kids Holiday Fund is a collaborative effort by Action, Inc., Pathways for Children, and Wellspring House, Inc. that aims to ease the financial burden of the holidays for families living on Cape Ann, including Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester, Essex and Ipswich. To date they have provided support for over 1,250 children living in these areas, allowing families to more fully share the joy, love and wonder of the holiday season.

​​​The Open Door
Second Glance Thrift Store

Ongoing help is needed at the Open Door Food Pantry, 28 Emerson Avenue and Second Glance, 2 Pond Road, Gloucester.

Volunteers needed for various shifts throughout the week.

​

Opportunity details: The mission of The Open Door is to alleviate the impact of hunger in our community. At Second Glance, you can browse through their ever-changing inventory from clothing to jewelry, from housewares to furniture, from books and games to music. When you make a purchase at Second Glance, you are helping to make a difference in the community. All proceeds from sales support local hunger-relief programs available through The Open Door.
