GOOGLE ACCOUNT & DATABASE MANAGEMENT

The Communications Committee maintains the Manchester Womans Club (MWC) Google Account, https://myaccount.google.com/ utilizing Drive and Mail where members database and files are stored. 

 

Databases include 
1. Mailing labels; 
2. Contacts/email list; 
3. Name tags; 
4. Members’ database. MWC’s Google Account is titled, Manchester Womans-Club.

 

EMAIL

The Club’s Google email account, manchesterwomansclub@gmail.com houses the complete list of members’ emails. The Committee is responsible for accurately maintaining the contact list. Occasionally a club-wide email blast is necessary, such as alerting members to weather emergencies and cancellation of a meeting. President coordinates these types of email blasts with the Corresponding Secretary and/or Communications Committee.

The Club’s Standing Rules also apply to emails:

  • Only matters pertaining to Club work may be considered by the Club.

  • Only notices pertaining to Club work may be read from the platform.

The website domain, manchesterwomansclub.org is registered with //hover.com and the Registrar URL is http://tucowsdomains.com. The WHOIS data associated with the registration indicates Registrant, Admin, Billing Name, as well as Tech Name.The Admin contact notifies Treasurer when a notification from Hover is received that renewal of domain name is due. Renew domain for at least 5 years.

 

MARKETING | PUBLICITY | PUBLIC RELATIONS

  • Marketing is the overall process of promoting and selling products or services.

  • Publicity is a specific part of marketing that focuses on getting a business, person, or product mentioned in the media.

  • Public Relations is the process of managing a business’s reputation through communication with the media, stakeholders, and the public. Communication avenues include news and press, media outreach, social media, speaking engagements.

 

The Communications Committee submits press releases regarding upcoming member meetings, articles about the Club, its fundraisers, events and activities for which the Club is sponsoring or taking part in. In addition, all internal and external collateral for any Club Committee and/or mailing labels needed by any Committee are created and produced by Communications. Collateral for use at meetings, events, fundraisers, and projects are created and produced by the Communications Team.

 

BRAND GUIDE

Communications is responsible that the Club’s “brand” is consistent across all internal and public-facing endeavors and communications. Consistency of typeface, color, logo/monogram does not deviate on any collateral or stationery used to represent the Club.
